Afrontamos este breve, pero precioso Post para hablar de los cortes sagitales en el estudio transfontanelar de pacientes neonatos y lactantes.
Una vez terminados los cortes coronales vamos a girar nuestra sonda sobre la fontanela anterior de modo que tenemos que ver en la pantalla de nuestro ecógrafo la cabeza en su corte sagital…
Para explicarte estos cortes necesito una imagen coronal con las angulaciones necesaria para ver la anatomía ecográfica de los sagitales, mira.
Partiendo de un corte sagital central donde a un lado de la pantalla veremos la región frontal y al otro la región occipital, nos angularemos de derecha a izquierda de la cabeza recorriendo toda la cabeza en sagital y si el estudio resulta normal, realizaremos esto resumidamente:
- TRANSDUCTOR LONGITUDINALMENTE COLOCADO A LA FONTANELA ANTERIOR
- VER LADO DERECHO, LÍNEA MEDIA Y LADO IZQUIERDO, señalar en pantalla el lado estudiado…

Es muy importante que los cortes sagitales sean puros para no desvirtuar la anatomía ecográfica, por eso la técnica y la experiencia son claves en este estudio.

El corte 1 es el más lateral, luego angulamos buscando la línea media y paramos en el corte 2 y finalmente vamos a al corte que más anatomía nos demuestra, el corte de la Línea Media, repetimos corte 1 y 2 en el otro lado de la cabeza…
